One of the longest running bars in Brixton, The Dogstar is world renowned for its nightlife events having presented DJs from Massive Attack, Hot Chip, New Order, Stereo MCs, Altern8 and more. But as well as the main room there are two large rooms upstairs that can host any event, whether it be your birthday or you want to run a clubnight or organise a gig, contact us and we can make it happen. The Ballroom (1st floor) and VIP Room (2nd floor) both have sound systems and Vinyl/CD/Mixer DJ equipment. The Ballroom is also set up for live music with a 12 channel mixer, stage monitors, mics, etc as well as chairs for seated audiences and plenty of room for dancing...It's cheap to hire. At the weekend you must put down a deposit but it's free hire if you take over £1000 on the bar. In the week the rates are very flexible. The whole venue is 800 capacity and can also be booked for large scale events. Some incredible entertainment has been enjoyed in the venue: Many private parties, live music concerts, comedy nights, clubnights, film previews, company launch nights, photo shoots, theatre productions, poetry nights, music video shoots, art exhibitions, acoustic nights and charity events.
