The Dogstar is world renowned for our nightlife events - so when you book the venue - it is possible one of the most famous acts or DJs like Massive Attack, New Order or Stereo MCs are playing in the main room. Each of the Areas has different technical setups - but the VIP [on the 2nd floor] and Ballroom [on the 1st floor] have their own Vinyl/CD/Mixer DJ setups. The Ballroom is also set up for live music and has a 12 channel mixer, stage monitors and some equipment like mic stands and leads. El Panzon [www.elpanzon.co.uk] are our inhouse caterers here and serve amazing, authentic Mexican food. There is also Video projection equipment in main room. Recent events include: Live music concerts, Acoustic nights, Clubnights, Film launch night, drink company launch, Worlds first extreme chili eating contest, Film and Video sessions, Photo shoots, 2 book launches, art exhibitions, a music video for top 40 act, DJ sessions, many private parties, and 5 Oxjam charity events.

Branded the Über Pub by Antic, Tooting Tram and Social is an EXTREME, brand new venue for London- with 75' foot ceilings and some of the most beautiful decor of any pub, club, space or venue in London - this is a venue that has huge impact and will impress even the most cynical architectural snob. Situated in up and coming SW17, and a minute from the tube station - it is easy to get to and once you're there you wont want to leave.

The venue is 100m from the Tooting Broadway Tube Station [on the Northern Line]. It is set over 2 main zones - a large main hall - and an upper mezzanine level on 2 levels. The smaller upper area is already booked for parties - even though we've barely been open.

It is such an impressive venue - with giant Italianate chandeliers, leather sofas and a modular layout - it is perfect for large scale events, parties, award receptions, filming / video shoots - there is everything you could ask - a stage for bands, huge new soundystem, lights, restaurant, bars and table service.

A visit is strongly recommended as it is impossible to express the amazing space here - it is simply off the charts.

A Time Out Critic's Choice, the BBC is best described by Timeout in the 2008 Edition of Time Out Bars, Pubs & Clubs Guide 2008 : "A crusty bowls club goes into receivership, the old score cards, wall plaques (‘Timber Traders Benevolence Society’!) and furniture are saved, and the place is opened to the public. What a treasure the result is. The front half could be Sir John Mortimer’s living room, replete with Victorian dressing-screens, leather sofas and bookcases, while the space at the back could be a Labour Club in Barrow c.1971 (we loved the plastic bingo hall seats). This area also doubles as the dining room. Dishes on the daily changing menu come in sizes meant for sharing; the fish pie was an unctuous treat, overflowing with prawns – but expensive at £14. Film companies/ Location shoot notes: There is a massive traditional snooker, pool hall available for hire [with full size - ie. extremely big tables and amazingly cool side banquets.] and also a very large men's social hall room with natural light and very large outside spaces.

The White Hart
is a favourite haunt of Stoke Newington and the scores of artists, writers, creatives and bohemians that inhabit this unique London neighborhood. With Live music events, Djs on several nights a week, a huge back garden that would make the perfect location for a garden party, a very large main bar - and importantly for hires - a perfect Function room 50 seated / about 75 standing - on the 1st floor. There have been all sorts of events over the years from traditional concerts, book and poetry events, theater events, avant-garde music performances [one involved a piece of shattered, amplified glass- don't ask], acoustic and jazz concerts - and more are definitely welcome, private parties and wedding receptions. There is a kitchen on site, and very easy access.

The White Hart is well experienced at putting on live shows, large events and will be perfect for those North London soirees that are too big or too much for home.

General Terms and Conditions of Hire

We are committed to offering a high standard of service for your function at Antic. These terms and conditions have been designed to ensure your function runs smoothly.

Please note that these terms and conditions are the general terms for Antic Ltd, but may vary from premise to premise.

Confirmation of Bookings
Antic requires a deposit of to confirm your booking. This deposit should be made payable by venue in question and will be held until the end of the event. For example, at The Dogstar, we require a £200 pound booking deposit on credit card or in cash. If you spend over £1000 on the bar you get a full refund. Lower than £1000 is a partial refund - to be agreed upon when booking. Each venue has different deposits and policies - dependent on the size and numbers of party.

Bond
The deposit also acts as bond to be paid for the hire of any rooms on in the Antic Ltd. The amount of hire will be stated at time of booking the venue and must be paid when the deposit is sent to confirm booking. The bond is fully refundable and will be reimbursed upon inspection of premises once function is finalised - and will cover any bartake shortfall if there is any.

Guaranteed Numbers
To ensure efficiency we require guest numbers to be confirmed seven (7) days prior to your function.

Payment Terms
Full payment for the venue is to be received by Antic five (5) working days prior to your function. You will be invoiced for the balance of your payment prior to the function. Credit cards from organisations and personal cheques may be accepted with prior arrangement.

Cancellation
Cancellation must be advised in writing. If advice of cancellation is received less than thirty (30) days prior to your function the deposit for the venue booking will not be refunded. Where circumstances beyond its control prevent Antic and/or its caterers from fulfilling all or any part of its obligations they may be released without penalty.

Entertainment
Antic will provide some basic equipment [DJ decks, lights, Sound PA] at each of the venues as part of the hire agreement, but you must check with each individual venue about what equipment is there or not. The Hirer agrees to make best possible effort to comply with Health and Safety standards and pre-brief Acts that they bring in- excessive Sound Volume from DJS or Live bands, Damage to venue or equipment from performers, Bands over running the set curfew, and other issues arising from the actions of the Entertainment - is the Hirers responsibility and may result in the immediate termination of an event if managers deem is necessary for the safety and integrity of the building. Also any damage caused by attendees is also the responsibility of the Hirer - so things like Graffiti, damage to infrastructure or general damage is also set against the deposit made. Antic can arrange Sound equipment, DJs, Bands, Lights and entire event production for additional charge.

Food and Beverage
Antic offers the in-house catering at most of our premises. All catering arrangements are to be made with, and the payments of all catering fees are to be made directly to, the appointed venue. No food or beverage is to be consumed within a venue unless provided by an approved caterer and served in an approved area.

Decorations and Additional services
The client may decorate the room on the condition all decorations are removed by the client at the end of the function and no damage is done to Antic property. We will be pleased to arrange a variety of additional services such as additional audiovisual equipment, room set-ups, special equipment. A charge may be incurred for some services.

Parking
We will advise you about the parking area designated for your function and loading/unloading areas. There is no access to restricted car parking zones (please consult local authorities). But there is ample on-street parking at most of the locations.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any part of any Antic building. There are smoking areas outside each premise.

Cleaning
General cleaning is included in the cost of the venue hire. An additional fee may be charged where an event generates cleaning beyond the normal level.

Property and Security
Antic will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of goods, merchandise or materials left at its venues prior to, during or after the function.

Our security staff patrol the premises on a 24-hour basis and will have been briefed about your function, but do not provide extra security services specifically for that function.
